Philip Stanton (1955 - )

Born in Liverpool in 1955, his home and studio are nowadays on the North Wales coast, although he travels the country extensively in search of appropriate subjects.

Philip Stanton is a self-taught professional artist living in North Wales. He works in both oils and water colours on a wide range of subjects although he is most well known for his landscape painting, where strong colours and textures, often seen in dramatic lighting, give a powerful three dimensional effect, drawing the observer into the work.

His work can be seen in galleries and private collections throughout Britain and also in Japan, Australia and the U.S.A.
