A Londoner by residence but during his lifetime he wandered to almost every corner of England and Wales painting many of the most famous views.

He exhibited at The Royal Academy and The British Institute between 1785 and 1823 and his paintings carry us back to the very "milieu" of a far off time

Sadly he came to an untimely end when a wall beneath which he was working, collapsed and crushed him when he was only in his early fifties.
